FAQ

Your Questions, Answered

The questions we hear most often from packaging development and procurement teams.

We have all four printing methods: gravure, offset, CI flexo and inline flexo. We operate 4 gravure presses (1 for film only, 1 for paper/film, 1 dedicated to thin label paper, 1 for heavyweight paper), 4 flexo presses (1 CI for film, 1 CI for paper, 2 inline for paper) and 1 offset press. Each method has its own strengths: gravure suits premium labels, offset suits small-lot premium shopping bags, and water-based flexo suits items being converted to eco-friendly specifications. A supplier with only one method has to adapt the customer's specification to its equipment, whereas JuYoung PS can choose the equipment to fit the specification, producing each of a customer's different items with the most suitable method.
Yes. JuYoung PS has separate CI flexo presses for film and for paper, plus 2 inline flexo presses for paper, for a total of 4 flexo lines. With equipment for both film and paper, you do not need to look for another supplier for items made of different materials: dedicated presses for film and paper give options to evaluate water-based flexo across flexible packaging (film), paper packaging (paperboard) and paper shopping bags.
Yes. We operate 1 solventless laminator together with 2 solvent-based dry laminators. Solventless lamination uses no organic solvents in the bonding process, reducing the risk of residual solvents, and combined with water-based flexo printing it reduces VOCs in both printing and lamination. Because we can compare solvent-based and solventless lamination in-house, reviewing a specification change is straightforward. Our Yongin Plant is also certified to the FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System.
We own 63 production machines covering every process, from printing to shopping-bag making. (Auxiliary equipment not included)
  • Printing: 9 — 4 gravure (1 for film only, 1 for paper/film, 1 dedicated to thin label paper, 1 for heavyweight paper), 4 flexo (1 CI for film, 1 CI for paper, 2 inline for paper), 1 offset
  • Coating & lamination: 7 — 3 T-die coaters (PE/PP extrusion), 2 solvent-based dry laminators, 1 solventless laminator, 1 wax coater
  • Slitting & cutting: 14 — 6 slitters, 5 guillotine cutters, 3 sheeters
  • Die-cutting & punching: 8 — 4 die-cutting presses, 3 label punching machines, 1 paper punching machine
  • Converting & forming: 11 — 5 Pollapo forming machines, 3 cone forming machines, 2 embossing machines, 1 bag-making machine for three-side-seal/stand-up pouches and paper sacks (rice, grain)
  • Shopping-bag making: 14 — 7 sheet-fed bag machines, 4 flat-handle (automatic) bag machines, 3 SOS (self-opening square-bottom) bag machines
Because we run multiple machines for each key process, a single machine breakdown does not directly cause a delivery delay.
There are benefits in three areas.
  • Cost — Printing, lamination and converting are usually split among 2 to 4 suppliers, but we handle every process in-house, so intermediate markups and logistics costs between processes are removed from the cost.
  • Quality accountability — If a defect occurs, there is one accountable supplier instead of a separate printer, laminator and converter. With the full process history held by one company, root-cause tracing and corrective action happen immediately, under our ISO 9001 system.
  • Development speed — New materials and eco-friendly conversion projects can be trial-produced in one plant from printing to finished product, with no need to circulate samples through each outsourced step.
You can consolidate orders for 4 product groups with one supplier: paper shopping bags, labels, paper packaging (paperboard) and flexible packaging (film).
  • Paper Shopping Bags — flat-handle bags (automatic line, flat paper handle), twisted-handle bags (twisted paper handle), SOS bags, handmade premium bags
  • Labels — paper labels for alcoholic-beverage bottles, beverage labels (gravure printing, embossing)
  • Paper Packaging — paper cups, cup stock (water-resistant board for cup bodies and bottoms), cone sleeves, ice-cream packaging, wrapping paper for cosmetics, agrochemicals and rice
  • Flexible Packaging — packaging for ice cream, confectionery, noodles and dairy products, and pouches (three-side-seal stand-up)
This reduces the workload of supplier management, ordering and settlement.
Yes. We built a solar power installation totaling 1,311 kW: 686.07 kW at the Ansan site and 625.59 kW at the Hwaseong site, on unused land at our sites, and have operated it since 2025. It produces approx. 1.72 million kWh of clean electricity per year, supplied to the power grid. Estimated avoided grid emissions are approx. 791 tCO₂ per year, calculated with Korea's national grid emission factor; this is not a reduction of our own Scope 1/2 emissions. (Annualized from settled output, November 2025–September 2026.) The group has solar power generation registered as a line of business under the electricity industry, and documentation on the power generation business is available on request.
Yes. We hold the following certifications, each within its applicable scope, and provide copies of certificates and related documents on request.
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management System (KS Q ISO 9001:2015)
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (KS I ISO 14001:2015)

Our Environmental Management Policy, Health & Safety Policy and Code of Ethics are published on this website, and quantitative indicators will be disclosed progressively once compiled.
Our 3 plants in Yongin, Ansan and Hwaseong run the production lines for all product groups as an interconnected system. When a line is overloaded or an urgent order comes in, work can be allocated to lines at another plant, which helps us manage capacity and protect your delivery schedule. With multiple machines for each key process, such as 4 gravure presses, 4 flexo presses and 6 slitters, we can also flexibly adjust capacity utilization.
Yes. As an Inno-Biz (certified innovative SME) holding 6 patents related to packaging structures and converting, we handle new structural designs and eco-friendly material applications in-house through our R&D center. For the shapes our customers require, we provide in-house support from the design stage to the finished product, and also review eco-friendly conversion projects such as mono-material structures and design for recyclability.
Our Head Office is at 123 Beonyeong 2-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea, and we operate 3 production plants in Yongin, Ansan and Hwaseong plus a Seoul Office (Guro-gu). The group consists of 4 companies: JuYoung PS Co., Ltd., Sungkwang Tech Co., Ltd., BNJ Co., Ltd. and Dong-A Package Co., Ltd. The packaging manufacturing business began with the founding of Geumpung Co., Ltd. in 2003, and the company name was changed to JuYoung PS Co., Ltd. in 2024.
